The adventure of a lifetime
His most ambitious project was JMAC in Europe, i.e. the internationalization of managerial culture for business organizations, for people and professionals.
Offer ideas, methodologies and concrete tools to generate development, growth and work: this has been the dream of a good man, strong and blessed by the grace of the Lord, the affection of his family, the esteem of many professionals and colleagues, the kindness and friendliness of friends.
Since 1988, Akira Koudate has gathered people who have put together with great harmony, enthusiasm, courage and willingness to collaborate and actively build opportunities for work and well-being.
He loved reading, listening to music and conversing.
He loved traveling and he composed them “in mosaic” – as he used to say – inspired by the readings that he delighted with every day and that he devoured in extraordinary speed.
In his freedom as a cultured, profound and responsible person, Koudate has ever proposed, promoted and defended his believes, facing and working with dedication, often throwing his heart over the obstacle.
He always defended the possibility of spreading the tested value of his knowledge, so that it would be available more and more usefully for others and for further generations.
At the end of 2011 Koudate announced his retirement and his return home to Japan. Just few months had passed at the beginning of 2012 that we missed him; today we feel its lack even more painfully. We know that he would ask us not to, and that he always worked for us to treasure his legacy and his example.
An innovator, thinker and man of action. At times fighting against windmills, he forerunner the overcoming of national borders, the engineering approach to quality, the management techniques of design, the importance of eco-sustainability and renewable energy, techniques dedicated to project based manufacturing companies, complex organizational networks, knowledge management, factory art, and much more.
We have not always been able to understand his views and sometimes his proposal was too early on time, so much so that it happened he remained unlistened. But he never surrendered or felt discouraged: in the extraordinary simplicity of a rigorous and profound intellect, he always kept his smile full of life and new thinking, fascinated by beauty and value, tireless and keen observer, always engaged in passionate dialogues.
